Vanilla – Health Benefits

Vanilla is a famously used ingredient in so many sweet and savory foods.
Studies investigating these potential health benefits have used concentrated doses of vanillin that exceed the amount you’d consumed when using normal amounts of vanilla extract or bean.
Vanilla is a Mood Enhancer, only one thing more potent (chocolate!) – Vanilla bean will help to increase brain (neurotransmitter) function, allowing your brain to produce serotonin and dopamine – the feel good hormones. The aroma of vanilla bean and vanilla extract also has a comforting (yup my mum’s cooking) vibe – an anti-depressant, mood-lifting effect on the brain

Neuroprotective. According to some studies, vanillin may benefit brain health and protect against neurodegenerative diseases
